L. Kelly Stults graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Economics Management in 1992. He received his law degree from Capital University Law School in 2001. He is a Delaware, Ohio native.

Kelly’s legal practice is concentrated in the areas of Ohio Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury Litigation, and General Litigation. Kelly was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2011, an accomplishment which recognizes attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and excellent professional achievement.

In his Workers’ Compensation practice, Kelly routinely advises clients regarding Ohio Workers’ Compensation policies and practices, including investigation of injuries. He aggressively represents large and small business clients at administrative hearings before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Ohio Industrial Commission. He also represents clients in all aspects of Court-litigated Workers’ Compensation actions filed in Ohio Courts of Common Pleas, Ohio Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Kelly’s extensive experience in the insurance industry provides him with significant insight and invaluable understanding in the evaluation and negotiation of claims. Kelly gained this experience prior to his law career as he was a Claims Adjuster for several years at a large Ohio insurance company where he focused on negotiating claims involving bodily injury, those involving homeowners, motorcycle and automobile claims, as well as, liability claims. Due to his extensive experience in this field, Kelly has been invited to speak on numerous occasions and by many organizations regarding upcoming changes and emerging issues regarding Ohio Workers’ Compensation law.

In addition to his extensive legal career, Kelly also has experience in both the public and private sectors. From 2005 through 2010, Kelly served on the city of Delaware’s Board of Zoning Appeals, acting as Vice Chair of this Board from 2008 through 2010. He was elected to and served on Delaware County’s Central Committee from 2004 through 2010. Additionally, he has previously owned and operated a successful horse training and racing stable.

In his free time, Kelly acts as a volunteer soccer coach for DYAA and is actively involved in his church. Kelly lives in Delaware, Ohio with his wife, a school teacher, and their two children.
